If you want to beat binge eating this christmas, as a former binge eater I've put together my 10 tips to deal with Christmas eating...

1 Hit the pause button
If you’re asked to do something or go somewhere, respond by saying, “I’ll check my diary and get back to you”.  Then, really think about whether you’ve got the space and energy for that commitment. When you say yes to things you don’t want to do your thoughts become resentful, triggering stress hormones, which means you’re likely to eat more.

2 Remember: not everything has to be perfect
Nobody will stop loving you if the presents are hastily wrapped. Or the napkins weren't John Lewis. The only thing people remember is the fun they had (or didn’t have). So stop with the perfectionism and have some fun!

3 Reduce your budget
Money worries cause a lot of stress so reduce your budget and worry less. You’ll find you eat less, too!
